All annual membership fees for Season starting 5 September 23 will be requested at the end of summer and due by the end of October.

Guests and New Members T&C's
Pay to play fees (£7/visit & £3/invited juniors) will apply for a maximum of 5 visits by guests and prospective new members in one season after which those players will be invited to join the club as a full member (providing the prospective new member and the club is a good fit, the principle concern is that prospective members are playing at a standard that is above or equal to the ability of the lowest teams) or else provided with advice and guidance information about then directed to other more suitable clubs in the area.

Coaching Opportunities
As you may have seen on the main page, we are releasing our Junior and Development Pathway for our next generation. In doing so, Gloucestershire is home to some of the best experts when it comes to our wonderful sport. As the foundations are set, Severnside are offering coaching development and career progression for enthusiastic volunteers.

Future Junior Club?
Unfortunately Severnside no longer has a junior section. We set up a junior section a few years ago, but due to losing our longstanding court booking at Chosen Hill School in Easter 23 we were forced to close the junior section.
However a member of our club set up Oxstalls Badminton Academy in April 2023 to cater to our junior players who had lost their session at Severnside and meet the growing demand for coached junior sessions in Gloucester. After one term, the academy now boasts over 100 members whereas the junior section catered for a maximum capacity of 40 players.
We have plans to set up a junior academy in Cheltenham at Dean Close School and will update this site with the relevant information as things develop.
